how to get rid of weakness after fever


Fever is health condition where body temperature increase in order to decrease foreign microbial activities in body and in this practice body loses some energy and weakness is commonly observed among many people but it can be severe in case of elder people and small children. Weakness can be observed due to medication taken ,decrease appetite during fever and less physical activity.

Steps to take to get rid of weakness after fever :

1.Balanced diet

Diet is very important when anyone enters in recovering phase because fever can decrease appetite and is the main reason for weakness, so diet high on protein and moderate on carbs and fats is suggested .When your body is suffering from fever it uses more protein in order to recover which deplete body protein levels so add good amount of high quality protein in your diet like chicken, milk products ,eggs ,fish etc cooked them well for better digestion. Vitamins and minerals level also go down after fever so check intake of daily suggested amount of vitamins and minerals . Iron, Vitamin B12 ,zinc , Vitamin D are some important micro-nutrients which can help in curing weakness .You can also try natural supplement like ashwagandha( Indian ginseng) which can be very beneficial. Eating fruits will be a great choice.

2. Hydration

If you are not taking enough fluids then you're body may not be able to regulate its temperature effectively. Dehydration can cause increase in body temperature .Proper hydration can help skin and mucus membrane in prevention from viral and bacterial infection. So drink more water, it will also help in removing toxins from body. Must drink 1-2 glasses of water in the morning and regularly throughout the day to avoid dehydration and weakness.

3. Physical activity

With flu or any respiratory disease one should avoid heavy workouts but some yoga or simple stretching exercise will help in regulating blood pressure and maintaining body flexibility. For workout ,you should start with lighter exercises which put less pressure on respiratory system ,slowly increase difficulty level to reach your normal workout level.

4. Sleep

Sleep is a important aspect of ones life ,getting 8-9 hours of sound sleep is important and recommended for healthy mind and body especially when someone is recovering from fever or other health condition. Sleep can help in building immune system and fights illness. A sleep deprived person have higher chances of getting weakness and fatigue.

5. Personal hygiene 

Cleaning of body help in avoiding risk of being caught by infections and flu ,for a recovering person hygiene plays a more define role it will help in decreasing further contact with microbes and bring freshness. Bathing with warm water is best when when you're suffering from such condition it will help in relieving muscle pain and soreness, better sleep , good for skin and relax your body also add some neem tree leaves in warm water it will increase herbal properties. Brush your teeth twice or after every meal to avoid bacterial growth.

 6. Avoid smoking and alcohol

We all know ill effects of smoking and alcohol consumption but it is much adverse for recovering person . Smoking can increase the risk of respiratory problems and can cause delay in recovery from fever. On the other hand alcohol consumption can raise blood pressure and can cause problem related to heart and immunity.

7. Avoid public exposure 

Public exposure may slow down your recovery time. Meeting with people can trigger your immune system badly. So avoid meeting with too many people ,live only amongst closely related people for sometime.   

8. Connect with your loved ones

Talking and spending time with people you love and admire can be a great mood booster .It will increase dopamine level ( Happy hormone ) and decrease cortisol level ( Stress hormone) in body. Staying happy is always the best medicine.

9. Give time to your hobbies

This will be the best time to give time to activities you love to do also it will help in keeping your mind and body active. It will help in keeping stress aside and happiness on your side. You can introspect and find on what part of life you're lacking . This will redirect you're mind to other things rather then on your post fever weakness.

10. Consultance 

Consulting a professional doctor is always  appreciated. If someone is suffering from severe weakness or prolong fever then he/she should consult a doctor.
